Redefining healthy living in Taiwan

Forecasted to become a super-aged society by 2025, Taiwan sees a long-term trend of combining medical care with innovative technology. Together with SCOR Digital Solutions, Nan Shan Life established the 健康守護圈 (Health & Wellness Ecosystem) in December 2020.

Here's a snapshot of what Nan Shan Life has achieved so far with the programme: 

  • 95x growth in products with health & wellness incentives
  • 2x increase in app usage within the last 12 months
  • 70 billion user steps, equivalent to a 10 million kg carbon reduction

Walking the talk 

On average, Nan Shan app users walk more steps per day than the average person in Taiwan. This is a testament of how the app can shape behavioural improvement, helping Nan Shan be more than just another insurer to their customers. They are viewed as a partner to creating holistic, healthier lifestyles. 

Nan Shan has a large agency force. A vital factor to their success is that the agents love the app and personally use it, helping them to better promote it to customers. This in turn has attracted more young people to come on board as agents with Nan Shan.
